Since the last blog entry for a few days and especially very many miles and extremely many attractions have passed already. It is also not always easy to publiziere something regularly, as we experience yet extremely many impressions in the shortest time and the time flies by - the evening you are also getting tired or has not always best Internet conditions.
What happened so far: we drove from Death Valley to Las Vegas, then in the Grand Canyon (North Rim), St. George, Utah, Arizona Flagstaff, Gallup Arizona and then to Albuquerque, New Mexico where we are now. After the many hotels budapest we have to almost look that we do not lose track. We reserve the way to 99% on the eve via the internet, respectively. booking.com, which basically is very good - only spoiled for choice is always difficult. But it is also spontaneously - the advantage is that you can "spontaneously" budapest also gets discounts - especially with the TCS membership of Switzerland (Mitlgiederkarte with the AAA Logo not forget) - the American Automobile Association AAA has recommended many of these motels and you get so always a few percent discount.
The journey led us to this point on the Route 66, which again was replaced by interstates - well-developed highways. We are not extreme "fans" of Route 66, but find it a pity that this really is almost not existent in itself and really budapest almost only exists budapest the highway that runs for many kilometers in some cases only straight through usually extremely impressive landscape. From Utah and Arizona is all for us Swiss also quite unreal, partly because 100 km long easy runs only landscape and highway - nothing out of the country where there is nothing except the most beautiful, partly also monotonous landscape. The villages are then (outside big cities) also inhabit something unimaginably also very American and for us. What do you do there. Or what you think, when the lady at the edge of the Grand Canyon does not even know the next larger town Flagstaff in the gift shop? Is certainly cool there - Arizona is allways cool;-) In St. George we were the first time at a Bed and Breakfast - it was really beautiful and deserves from us a good review here in Albuquerque New Mexico, we are in a larger Bed and Breakfast with a beautiful budapest garden in a beautiful cottage in the Adobe style, right on the Old Town - we spontaneously decided once a night to stay here because it's so nice - we have a kitchen, an office, a bedroom, bathroom and a "locker room" as well as a patio in the garden and the car directly behind the house at the door - a dream.
The trip will now go on to El Paso Texas (with a stop). El Paso lies on the border with Mexico to one of the larger Mexican cities with enormous crime - but we DO NOT go over the limit! Then it's the next day to Texas where I will finally get my huge steaks .. at the moment is the food (like everything) rather very Mexican breathed - but it is super nice here and highly recommended.
