Afrojack Dazzles XS Nightclub In Las Vegas
Afrojack is no stranger to Las Vegas, having played over five times already this year at various locations including the huge Electronic jersey Daisy Carnival festival back in August. jersey Two of those times were less than a week before his show at the nightclub XS in Encore. Bringing along fellow DJ Quintino, Afrojack was about to show Vegas how a Saturday night should go!
Las Vegas has always been known for its impressive club scene, but XS seemed to redefine it. From the turning chandelier above the dance floor to the indoor and outdoor sections of the club, you weren’t just confided to the normal cramped confines of a small club. Outside, the audience jersey could relax by the pool watching the show from a LED screen that was hooked to a camera in the DJ booth, go to the expansive bar or stand on a walkway directly behind the DJ’s jersey booth, giving people an unique view.
Inside though there were three massive screens, with one on each side of the booth and one above. With Quintino wrapping jersey up his set with “Kinky Denise” by Moti and himself, the light immediately dimmed while a countdown timer appeared on the LED screens. As the timer counted down Afrojack took the stage, greeting the eagerly awaiting crowd: “Good morning Las Vegas! If you’re ready and want some Afrojack music make some noise!” jersey With that, bursts of CO2 sprayed and streamers shot into the crowd as Afrojack began his set with his mix of “Bangduck.”
Blasting track after track from the blaring speakers, the crowd seemed to get lost in the continuous jersey set of music. Some included “Pon de Floor,” Deadmau5’s “Not Exactly,” “Canonball” by Showtek & Justin Prime, ” Hello” by Martin Solveig & Dragonette, “Hands High” by Kirsty, “Hells Bells” jersey by Albin Myers, “Atom” by Nari & Milani, a mix of “Red Line” by Wolfgang Gartner mixed with “Leave The World Behind,” a mix of “Coming Home” by Diddy feat. Skylar Grey and “Aerodynamic” by Daft Punk, Hardwell’s jersey “Spaceman,” both “The End” and “Cascade” by Tommy Trash and “Feel So Close” by Calvin Harris, along with many others.
After his popular hit “Take Over Control” jersey and “Pacha On Acid,” Afrojack got on top of his booth’s table and sprayed a bottle of champagne into the crowd during “No Beef.” With the club going silent for a few moments Afrojack took a second to talk to the crowd: “Ok, it already 2:35. Daylight savings time is where it’s at, it’s only 1:35! Make some noise!” He continued on with “Titanium” by David Getta and “Reload” by Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash. After his song “Annie’s Theme,” Swedish House Mafia’s “Save the World” jersey and a couple other songs, Quintino came back out on stage to mix with Afrojack for some songs like “Cannonball” by Showtek & Justin Prime again and Quintino’s own song “Epic,” jersey the party came to a hult as part of the LED screen in front of the DJ booth barely caught on fire. Afrojack quickly told the crowd what was going on: Ok Las Vegas, are you guys having a good time? So give me one second. Now listen, jersey you guys, I’ve been playing here for two years, this is the first time that the DJ booth just lit on fire! We’re gonna chill out for one second while we put out the fire. We’re gonna take one moment of fresh air.” “The Scientist” by Coldplay then began to play.
Picking the pace back up, Afrojack played a bunch of other songs that included the following: “Punk” by Ferry Corsten, Afrojack’s own “Can’t Stop Me,” “Maximal Crazy” by Tiesto, Steve Angello’s “KNAS,” Dropkick Murphy’s “I’m Shipping Up to Boston,” Kanye West’s jersey “All jersey of the Lights” and Afrojack’s “Give Me Everything.” Amid all the confetti, streamers, flashing lights, bottles of campaign and pulsating bass, the show finally came to a close with the fitting song “We’ll Be Coming Back” by Calvin Harris. With Afrojack’s nearly four hour long set and the feel of XS, the two made an excellent combination jersey that completed jersey the night for any electronic music fan.
