It will be in the main competition at the prestigious Montreal World Film Festival, Simon Staho love drama Miracle gets its world premiere. The festival begins on 22 August and is one of the 14 A-festivals.
Simon Staho love drama miracle of Sonja Richter, Ulrich Thomsen and Peter Plaugborg in the lead roles will have its world premiere in the main program at the Montreal World Film Festival - one of the world's 14 A-festivals.
The miracle we are in a small Puritan village. Once, Johanna (Sonja Richter) area's best dancer. But it's 25 years ago and today she sits chained to a wheelchair and living a passion-free life with her husband, the devout priest Erik (Peter Plaugborg), father and their son who she loves more than anything.
Faced with an impossible choice Johanna's life is shaken, however, when one day she comes face to face with the only man she has ever harbored genuine love - her former dance partner James (Ulrich Thomsen), who returns to her childhood town for the first time in a lifetime.

Montreal World Film Festival is one of North America's most important and oldest festivals, and FIAPF (International Federation of Film Producers Associations) classifies it as one of 14 A festival in line with the festivals in Cannes, Berlin and Venice. The festival runs from 22 August to 2 september.
